3. What data do we process?
When you visit the website, technical and usage data may be processed, such as IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, referring website, time, session duration and interactions. An IP address can be personal data, even when it is limited or masked for reporting. When you email us, we process the contact details and message content you provide yourself. The website is not intended to collect medical data, records or test results. Do not send such data to the general contact address.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process data to keep the website available and secure (legitimate interest), to respond to contact requests (legitimate interest or pre-contractual request, depending on the situation), to comply with legal obligations and, solely after any required consent, to analyse website use with Google Analytics. We do not use website data for medical profiling or automated medical decision-making.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to gain aggregated insights into visitor numbers, traffic sources, page views and interactions. Where consent is legally required, analytics cookies and related measurements are activated only after your consent. We recommend a privacy-friendly setup, without advertising personalisation and without passing directly identifying information to Google. The specific data retention period and settings depend on the configuration of GA4. See https://policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Recipients and processors
We may engage service providers for hosting, technical management, email and statistics, including Google. We provide only the data needed for the service concerned, conclude processing agreements where necessary and do not sell personal data.
8. International transfers
When service providers process data outside the European Economic Area, we use, where required, an applicable adequacy decision, appropriate contractual safeguards or another valid transfer mechanism. The actual transfer depends on the suppliers and settings used.
9. Retention periods
We do not keep data longer than necessary. Technical logs, contact correspondence and analytics data each have their own retention period, depending on purpose, necessity and configured systems. The specific retention periods for hosting logs, contact requests and GA4 will be determined after configuration and specified in this statement or the cookie overview. Where possible, data is deleted or anonymised.
10. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures, including secure connections (HTTPS/TLS), access restrictions, maintenance and security measures at our service providers. No digital processing is entirely free of risk.
11. Your rights
Under the conditions of the GDPR, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Email your request to info@plasmaclear.org. We generally respond within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
12. External links
Our website may refer to third-party websites. Their own privacy policy applies to their data processing.
13. No online medical intake
PlasmaClear.org is an informational website and does not offer online medical intake or patient registration. Medical data is not knowingly collected through the website. A website visit does not create a doctor-patient relationship. If medical services or intake forms are added later, we will adapt the privacy statement and security measures in advance.
14. Changes
HemoClear B.V. may change this statement in the event of changes in legislation, suppliers or website functionality. The current version is available on www.plasmaclear.org with the date of the most recent change.
